About the challenges

The challenges on this page will help you, or young people you work with, to find a piece in the puzzle we call ‘motivation’. The Motivation meter can help you find which piece of the puzzle you are missing. Afterwards, come here to download the perfect challenge.

If you are a coach, browse through the library to find a challenge that meets the needs of the person you are working with. Don’t hesitate to change a challenge based on their personal needs.

After doing this challenge, you will know why being active is good for you and what the main benefits of physical activity are.

2. HOW TO GET MOVING

After this challenge, you’ll know fun, easy ways to stay active, anytime, anywhere, with or without gear. No gym? No problem! You’ve got options.

By the end of this challenge, you’ll know how to stay active with what you’ve got—no gear, no stress. Whether it’s dancing, biking, or stretching between study breaks, you’ll make movement work your way

4. DOING IT YOUR WAY

After this challenge, you’ll see that being active is about doing what you love, whether it’s skateboarding, dancing, or even ninja moves! It’s all about finding what makes you happy, not what others say.

5. FINDING YOUR WAY TO BE ACTIVE

After this challenge, you’ll understand why you’ve been active (or not) and feel confident to stand up for yourself and try activities YOU actually enjoy doing.

6. START FEELING MORE COMFORTABLE

After this challenge, you might feel less worried about being embarrassed during physical activities. You’ll feel more hopeful about changing how you move and might take the first step to overcome any shame you feel.

8. MAKING YOURSELF PROUD

After this challenge, you will have thought about what motivates you to stay active. You will start to separate how you feel about doing activities for others and how you actually feel about the activity itself. You will also take some time to think about whether you should try different activities instead.

9. LEARNING ABOUT YOURSELF

After this challenge, you’ll realize that being active isn’t the only thing people judge or value you for. They see you as a person with many different strengths. This helps you separate your motivation from seeking approval or validation from others. It’s about focusing on what makes you feel good, not just what others think!

10. MOVING INTELLIGENTLY

After this challenge, you’ll figure out how being physically active can help you in many other areas of your life. Whether it’s about feeling more energetic, improving your mood, or just having fun, you’ll have a clearer idea of how being active is important for you personally.

11. SETTING SMART GOALS

After this challenge, you’ll be able to set a goal that aligns with the benefits of physical activity that matter most to you. You’ll also have the ability to stick to that goal for at least 2 weeks, helping you stay motivated and focused on your progress!
